BENEFITS OF MEAL PREPPING:

- will save money (no more buying your lunch!)

· will eat healthier (no impulsive choices when you are overly hungry)

· will reduce your stress (lunch is just waiting for you in the fridge!)

Tips for getting started

1. Start small. Start with one meal that pains you to have to do everyday. You DO NOT have to meal prep everything! 3. Find a core set of recipes you can depend on. If you don't already, use this time to have fun finding and making new ones to try! This makes the meal prep routine easy-peasy!

2. Schedule it. For the first month, you have to work your meal prep into your routine, so it is smart to schedule off a block of time dedicated for meal prepping. Perhaps et a reminder in your phone or write it on your calendar. At first you may feel like a chore, but I know once you get going, you'll see how AWESOME it is to not have to worry & stress about what's for Dinner(or any other meal/snack).

Shortcuts

I am ALL about the shortcuts if it helps me eat healthier through the week! Here are some of my favorite meal prep short cuts:

· use pre-cut & washed veggies- carrot & celery sticks, cabbage slaw, frozen veggies that are already sliced/cut up and washed & ready to use- to throw in any soup, crockpot, steamed dish, etc.

· buy a pre-cooked rotisserie chicken– shred & use in multiple meals!

· use pre-made dressings and dips– salsa, hummus, guacamole

· just portion stuff out– Have you seen bento-style boxes?

· use ‘no cook’ recipes– such as overnight oats or salads
